Description:
A good, rare figure of William Tell standing on a titled base with faded, gilt script. Both arms raised to his waist, holding his bow in his left hand, wearing a plumed hat, cloak and tunic.
Circa 1840
Approx - 9.25 inches (235mm) tall.
In average condition throughout with typical paint losses and firing damage to the chest area. Amazingly, although a different model, the figure shown in Pugh' has the same issue of the deep cobalt blue running onto the white base behind the left leg and onto his orange cloak behind the right leg, to the exact same extent. Fascinating!
